Mike Lehman is the Director of Bands at Edison Middle School in Champaign, Illinois. Mr. Lehman earned his bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois under the mentorship of Joe Manfredo and studied saxophone performance with Debra Richtmeyer and Ron Bridgewater. Prior to teaching at Edison Middle School, Mr. Lehman had the privilege of student teaching in the Champaign area with John Currey and Sam Hankins, where he was immersed and included in their first-rate programs.

Edison Middle School is home to what many consider one of the preeminent middle school band programs in the nation. The Edison Band Program has received top awards and accolades at both concert and jazz band competitions and festivals across the country. Mr. Lehman's program consists of two concert bands (6th Grade Concert Band and a combined 7th/8th Grade Concert Band) and three extra.curricular jazz bands.

Mike Lehman is a member of IMEA, and MENC and currently the District 3 Junior High School Jazz Band Chairman for IMEA.
