Remember group rehearsal (practice) times are for rehearsing - students are expected to do their own practice at home and in private lessons so they are prepared to progress during group rehearsal.

Mark Cornell is the Jazz Band 3 Director.  Mark will be available to work the entire school year with the Jazz 3 participants and will prove to be influential in advancing their ability and joy in jazz band.

Mark has played lead trumpet in a number of bands and has a great deal of experience in teaching. He has a proven record of working with middle school age musicians including having been a chaperone on the Spring Break Orlando trip in 2006.

Mark also did a stint on the Mariner of the Seas with Royal Caribbean and taught K-12 Music. Mark also currently teaches privately and is available for lessons.

All who have signed up with Jazz 3 will enjoy working with Mark and should learn a lot about jazz and really enjoy playing in the jazz band.
