The Edison Jazz Bands are now 3 for 3!

At Saturday's contest at Eastern Illinois University, EMS Jazz Band 2 came in second place in the middle school divison only to EMS Jazz Band 1! This is the second year that EMS Jazz Bands have taken a 1st/2nd place sweep. Brandon Goslin, Emma Healy, Aaron Cravens, Justin Rondon, and Bill Wu all got recognized for their outstanding performances and Justin Rondon was announced as the most outstanding performer in the Middle School class and received a scholarship to the EIU summer jazz camp. One judge remarked that these bands "set the standard for performance" and "truly enlighten people as to what is possible from a middle school program."

Champaign Central also attended with two bands and their Stage Band came in second in their divison only to a thrilling performance by Decatur-MacArthur HS.
