Dear Band Parents and Students-
 

Congratulations to all Edison Middle School Band Students for their hard work, dedication, and excellent performances on Saturday. At the Illinois Grade School Music Association’s District Contest, the 6th Grade Concert Band, 7th/8th Grade Concert Band, Jazz Band 2, and Jazz Band 1 all earned Division I ratings! All groups will be invited to the State competition held on April 28th (for concert bands) and May 5th (for jazz bands)—locations have not been announced yet.
 

This level of execution is a testament to the students’ talents and concentration during a trying week of ISAT testing and no band rehearsals. Every Edison Band Student went the extra mile to attend after school rehearsals in preparation for the contest and the results spoke for themselves.
 

Congrats again to all of the Edison Middle School Bands and THANK YOU to all of the parents that volunteered and made Saturday run smoothly.
