Orlando Results - Spring Break 2006
Every three years the Edison Band program travels to Orlando Florida to compete on a national level.

This year the 6th grade concert band won bronze and the 7-8th grade concert band won a gold award (best in their division) and was named best all-division middle school concert band, among a field of 20 other bands from across the nation also successful enough to compete nationally.

Edison Jazz Band 1 also won gold against four other high-school bands, with Evan Slazinik receiving an Outstanding Soloist award. Among the bands competing over the several months of the festival, Edison's 6th grade concert band placed 15th (out of 86 bands) and its 7-8th grade concert band placed 5th (out of 86 bands). The Edison Middle School Jazz Band 1 placed 1st, the 2006 Grand Champion, in the middle school division of 28 bands.
